It has been roughly 86 years since Gunnar Myrdal?s book ?The Political Element in the Development of Economic Theory? was published, in which he declared economic thought and theory as being established by hidden ideological premises. As well as accusing modern economic theory of being the subject of a pseudo-scientific construct. As such, this study seeks to test Myrdal?s critical view on Swedish economic education in upper secondary school.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to analyse the portrayals of working-class life in a selection of works by the Swedish authors Ragnar Järhult and Per Gunnar Evander. The research questions are: * How is the working conditions described?* What political messages can be found in the works?* What image of the class society is shown?The second aim of this Master?s thesis is to analyse the concept of working-class literature and to investigate if the works of Per Gunnar Evander could be seen as working-class literature. Methodologically, the study draws on established theories, concepts and methods from the sociology of literature and the history of ideas.

Denna uppsats handlar om barnkolonier och deras stora expansion i Norrbotten under andra världskriget, med särskilt fokus på Luleå stads barnkoloni Vallen. Idéer i samhället men även stora världshändelser gjorde avtryck i samhällslivet, vad syftande på barnfrågan. Den socialistiska politik som började föras i Sverige under 1930-talet satte spår i koloniverksamheten, det blev annan prägel på kolonierna, med ett annat huvudsyfte. Barnkolonierna expanderade under fyrtiotalet p.g.a. andra världskriget och med de påverkningar som följde i krigets spår, som livsmedelsbrist och hungersnöd.

I min uppsats så har jag valt att studera den ideologi som ledde fram till skapandet av det svenska samhällets särart. Detta ämne har nu för tiden utvecklats till att i huvudsak vara historia, eftersom dess ursprung nu ligger så långt tillbaka i tiden. Mitt val av detta ämne beror huvudsakligen på att jag önskar öka förståelsen för hur välfärden och folkhemsidealet kom att utmärka Sverige. För att uppnå detta har jag främst studerat socialdemokratin, då den som det framgår i bakgrund och appendix var den drivande faktorn i denna utveckling. Jag har dock i den mån det påverkat det socialdemokratiska beslutsfattandet redovisat även andra faktorer.

This bachelor thesis engages in the question of silence in the writings of Fenno-Swedish modernists Mirjam Tuominen and Gunnar Björling, silence being understood as both a poetic theme and a question of literary form. Alongside this exposition runs a discussion about the possibilities and impossibilities of interpretation in the field of academic literary studies. This query is connected to the different ideological positions of the two writers, conjoined by ideas about anti-comprehensibility. Considering certain weaknesses of classical hermeneutics as well as the theory of deconstruction, especially in the case of reading poetry, this thesis tries to point out possible routs for a practice of a more dynamic interpretation, with special regard to understanding the trope of silence in the modernist poetry of Tuominen and Björling.The composition explicitly applies a ?method of wandering? inspired by Maurice Blanchot?s understanding of the priests of Dionysus in Hölderlin?s writings ? maundering in the holy night ? as a metaphor for a critique-in-the-creating.

This bachelor thesis discusses three Swedish landscape architects and their plan drawings and illustrations. The landscape architects are from the 18th century, the 19th century respectively the 20th century. The three persons are: Fredrik Magnus Piper, Knut Forsberg and Gunnar Martinsson. The landscape architects are brought up in chronological order in a chapter each where the person?s life, educations and work are described.

This study is an attempt to shed light on problems and possibilities of the school library of the Swedish comprehensive school concerning library law and goals of the school and the school library. Many investigations about the role of the school library of the comprehensive school have been carried through. They have all more or less come to the same conclusions. In spite of Swedish library law and goal documents of the school library, the school libraries are often neglected, if not will and commitment are to be found among teachers. Using a model of the school organisation by Gunnar Berg, three cases of school libraries are presented and analysed in a larger organisational and political perspective.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur vuxna elever som studerar svenska som andraspråk resonerar kring sina inlärningsstrategier. Studien genomfördes med kvalitativ ansats och datainsamlingsmetod var semistrukturerade intervjuer. Inom denna studie intervjuades sex vuxna elever, som planerar att påbörja sina studier på högskolor. Resultaten i denna studie visade att vuxna elever använde eller uttryckte sammanlagd fyrtio av sextiotvå inlärningsstrategier som är utarbetade av Oxford, forskare inom språkvetenskap. Minnesstrategier, affektiva strategier och sociala strategier kunde kartläggas i större utsträckning än kognitiva strategier, kompensationsstrategier och metakognitiva strategier.
